We unlock The Key Premier Sukhumvit’s best kept spy-themed secret, Felicita Rooftop Bar and Grill.
By Anusha Sethi and Risa Gambhir
Whether you choose to unwind by the rooftop pool that overlooks Bangkok’s concrete jungle or opt for espionage-inspired entertainment, the spy-themed restaurant, Felicita Rooftop Bar and Grill, nestled on Sukhumvit Soi 7, might just be the escape you’re looking for. The sapphire-blue interiors, romantic lighting, and soulful live music create a mysterious yet delightful setting for enjoying the menu of inventive Mediterranean dishes created by head Chef Julian Le Breton and his talented team.
Food and Drink
Kick off your meal on a high note with the luscious Felicita burrata (THB 400). The rich cheese, made from imported Italian milk, is served alongside cherry tomatoes, olive oil, and basil leaves, which help enhance its flavour to a new level of deliziosa. Another recommended appetiser, Mushroom cappuccino (THB 290), is a must-try for lovers of soup. Contrary to what you may think, the dish is not coffee-based, but rather gets its name from the cream foam that sits atop the mushroom soup, giving it a delicious layer of velvety froth.
One of our other favourites was the Pork belly risotto (THB 380). The creamy texture of the rice is perfectly balanced thanks to the well-cooked pork and the parmesan cheese, which produce a smooth blend of flavours. For herbivores, opt for the Pumpkin risotto (THB 350) instead; a dish made of roasted pumpkin, ricotta cheese and garnished with walnuts.
If you prefer a dish on the spicier side, be sure to try the restaurant’s special, Kurobuta pork (THB 450) that consists of Japanese pork that has been cooked for six hours and drizzled over with a smoky barbecue sauce. Another delicious special is the Veal shank osso bucco (THB 890), which features veal that has been slow cooked to tender perfection, served with rich garlic mashed potatoes.
To end the delectable meal, we tried the Half-baked cookie (THB 270), a melt-in-your-mouth dessert served with salted caramel ice cream. The blend of textures and flavours from the melted chocolate chips and salted caramel is the ultimate treat for any sweet tooth.
Not only have the bartenders at Felicita mastered classic cocktails, but their signature cocktails are sure to thrill, such as the Paloma (THB 350), a refreshing drink with a rum and pineapple base, and the Jerrito tequila (THB 350) which combines lime and orange flavours into a fruity concoction. There is also the option for ‘do it yourself’ cocktails and mocktails (THB 350) that lets you assemble your dream drink from various ingredients. Ideas include the Felicita fresh, a cucumber based mocktail that tastes like a spa in a cup, and Felicita pink, which uses orange zest to add an extra punch. Regardless of your taste, Felicita is guaranteed to have the perfect drink for you.
