Joanna will be running 42.195km to raise funds for local eateries!
The ever-changing lockdown rules have not been kind or considerate to our local restaurants, many of which are struggling to stay afloat now that Bangkok has been put under even tighter lockdown rules. As a result, the folks at Root the Future have come up with a way to help some of the city’s plant-based restaurants.
Scheduled for July 30th, Joanna will be running a full marathon (42.195km) in a bid to raise funds for several eateries so that they have some extra funds to put towards covering operating costs during this lockdown period. By sponsoring her run, you won’t just be donating to the cause, you’ll also receive THB 500 or THB 1,000 vouchers you can redeem at your favourite restaurants once the dine-in ban ends.
Joanna will also be posting regular updates via the Root the Future Instagram page, so you can keep posted on her gruelling training programme and how the fundraising is going overall.
