Truth is always stranger than fiction, as the showrunners of Scoop have meticulously presented on the silver screen. Based on journalist Jigna Vora’s memoir, Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, the series follows the lead character Jagruti Pathak (Karishma Tanna), a journalist who gets tangled up in the police, the underworld, and the media. Indian filmmakers have a reputation for hitting it out of the park with thrilling crime dramas on Netflix, and if the trailer lives up to expectations, Scoop will be no exception.

Never Have I Ever Season 4 (Netflix)
The beginning of the end. This teen-comedy series is wrapping things up with its fourth and final season on Netflix. The desi teenage angst is back, ramped up by having to navigate the challenging course of love in high school. Devi and her friends enter their senior year, while she develops a crush on a new boy, tries to live up to expectations leading to Princeton University, and juggles emotions between her, Ben, and Paxton. With so much to unpack, we’re eager to see how this Indian-American high schooler comes out in her final year without being emotionally battered.

The Witcher Season 3, Volume 1 (Netflix)
This videogame adaption on Netflix will be presenting the final episodes of Hollywood hunk Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, with the third season split in half. The controversy around the series has left many puzzled by the departure of Cavill, who has been a crucial component of the fantasy series, as the cast and its audience have already expressed their grievances before the release of Season 3. Replaced by Liam Hemsworth from Season 4 onward, it has led to many wondering if the show will have the same draw or impact with a new lead. For now, however, we can still cherish Cavill’s version of the signature Geralt grunt.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 4 (Prime Video)
After a very short hiatus, the fourth and final season of Jack Ryan premiers at the end of June. John Krasinski’s final run as the titular character takes us through six thrilling episodes, as he embraces his most dangerous mission yet. Fending off both foreign and domestic enemies, Jack is tasked to tackle internal corruption and black ops that lead to unravelling a world of drug cartels and terrorist organisations. After his discovery of a conspiracy closer to home, his faith in the system that he swore to protect starts to waver, and is inching towards the brink of collapse.
