Be prepared to escape to beachfront bliss at the recently rebranded AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas, a charming resort that has all the wonderful amenities you may seek, from delightful open-air restaurants to plush rooms and villas, perfect for honeymooners and families alike.
Upon my arrival, I was greeted with fruity drinks and cool towels, while friendly staff organised the details of my stay with experienced efficiency. The high-ceilinged, open air lobby overlooks the low-rise property filled with majestic trees surrounding modern buildings with gleaming white walls. This sylvan wonderland engulfs an infinite crystal blue pool matching the beach beyond. With table pods and sun beds inside the waters, this sublimely tranquil setting is the perfect place to laze around.
Basking in these calming views, I didn’t realise that it was already time to privately check-in at the Villa Lounge. I was quickly whisked away by competent porters in golf carts. Their cheerful, pleasant and polite manner set the tone for a wonderful weekend that lay ahead.
It felt like a tropical dream as I entered the 188-square metre AVANI Pool Villa, where I had my own walled sanctuary with a pool to plunge in, and a sundeck to soak up those vitamin rays. Meanwhile, my raised sleeping area with a king-sized bed had lush garden views. There was also a living and dining area, a separate bathroom and shower room, and an outdoor rain shower. As I settled into my luxurious oasis, I quickly realised that there would be no distractions here and my privacy was most sacred.
Overall, my favourite aspect of the room is the nightly turndown service, where the lamps are dimmed, slippers are left out and water is placed on your bedside table to make the room feel warm and cosy before you settle in for the night.
This private villa may be the perfect setting for newlyweds, but there are also clusters of the same accommodations around shared pools, ideal for large families. Guests staying at any of the villas, including AVANI Lagoon Pool Villa, AVANI Two Bedroom Lagoon Pool Villa or AVANI Two Bedroom Sea View Villa are treated to a variety of lounge benefits, including complimentary lounge breakfast, all-day dining refreshments, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

There are deluxe rooms and pool access suites for guests who prefer accommodations that are a little less secluded. The hotel offers a total of eight types of rooms, all of which are decorated with light wood furnishings and tropical hues, exuding a calming and soothing ambiance.
For those who enjoy a greater variety, be prepared for oceanfront feasting as the outdoor section of the lounge is also home to Italian fine dining, Brezza. This casual pavilion offers a stunning open-air setting, lit by fairy-tale golden lights with the ocean providing a romantic backdrop. While each dish served is exquisitely presented, the menu consists of market-fresh local seafood, meat and vegetables, prepared to perfection. So whether you are craving Beef tenderloin, Jumbo prawns, Sea scallop risotto or Fusilli olio, you are sure to savour every bite.
Meanwhile, wake up to breezy breakfast buffet and all-day dining at Staa’s. Their international breakfast spread with live cooking stations offer mouth-watering delicacies that will keep you satiated. For lunch and dinner, select from a wide range of favourites, such as Thai appetisers, salads, spicy curries, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas, and char-grilled seafood. You can also lounge poolside with a refreshing cocktail in hand, or grab a snack to go from the gourmet deli. Whatever you desire, AVANI’s culinary team aims to fulfil.
This private property is bolstered by a range of exotic treatments at AVANI Spa. Whether you opt for the best with the VIP suite, or a couple’s treatment room, all your troubles will simply melt away with soothing treatments based on time-tested techniques and natural ingredients. There is also an authentic hammam for lovers of the Turkish bath.
Upon my arrival, a masseuse guided me through a consultation form and spa menu, recommending a few that matched my preference and timeframe. We agreed on the signature 90-minute Thai massage using natural oils. As I walked to my treatment room, I went through a maze of dimly-lit corridors that transported me away from the real world into a fantasy land – a place where peace and tranquility reigns supreme.
Escape into Energy
Work up a sweat at AVANI Fit, where guests can keep up with their workout routines with the latest cardio machines, weights and mat workouts. There are also Zumba and yoga classes available. For exercise enthusiasts who prefer the outdoors, rent bicycles to enjoy cycling routes along hundreds of kilometres of beachfront with beautiful views of Thailand’s gulf.
For the Little Ones
Feel free to leave the kids at the resort’s fully supervised kids’ club, AVANI Kids. Daily activities and a host of games are sure to keep them occupied, leaving parents free to enjoy a little me time. “Our team is very flexible. So far the hotel has held three Indian weddings. We cater to what guests’ desire and plan according to their requirements. We have an in-house Indian chef, allow buyouts, and there are several plans to expand the F&B. Brezza will soon offer live cooking stations and Mediterranean cuisine, while the launch of Blue Biscuit will provide the perfect venue for after-dinner parties.
