The Hope Fair is back again today, this time for a festive edition. Held at the Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel, expect plenty of interesting wares; delicious, gourmet food; and all things artistic; focused on sustainability and locality. Founded in 2014, the Hope Fair continues to be a beloved platform for local artisans and vendors, and their proceeds go towards charity, in support of underprivileged communities in the city.

Today until 18 December, the Big Bad Wolf Book Festival is back, at the Thunderdome Muang Thong Thani. One of the biggest book fairs in the country, it’ll feature more than a million books in Thai and English, including exclusive titles from Thai Books United and Big Bad Wolf Books, who are offering up to a 95 percent discount on their wares, as well as board games and toys for children, so make sure to book it down to Impact Arena this week!

Comedian Jim Jefferies from Sydney, Australia, is bringing his unique brand of provocative stand-up comedy to Bangkok with the Jim Jefferies The Moist Tour in Bangkok, organised by Live Nation Tero. Held on the 8th floor of Central World, the stand-up promises non-stop laughs while touching on belief-challenging topics. Jim Jefferies has won numerous awards, including Stand-Up Comedian of the Year at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2019.

Starting today until 25 December, Awakening Bangkok, the not-to-be-missed lighting festival held by Time Out Bangkok, is coming back for its fifth edition in Talad Noi, the artsy, hipster quarter of old-town Bangkok, and Charoenkrung road. Featuring illuminated sculptures and thought-provoking art exhibitions, the theme this year is ‘Endless Tomorrow’ and will focus on sustainability and immortality, aiming to bring light to the forgotten alleyways of the city, as well as new locations such as O.P. Place and East-Asiatic Building.

After two years on hiatus, Siam Music Fest is back today and tomorrow, at Siam Square. A massive outdoor free concert that’s been known to bring in hundreds of thousands of fans, this year’s edition will feature five stages and a line-up of more than 80 established and up-and-coming local artists.
