Aire Bar provides patrons with sky-high excuses for exploring the local bar scene.

Located on the 28th floor of Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit, Aire Bar is a remarkable addition to Bangkok’s rooftop bar settings. I arrived during an enchanting sunset, where the city’s sweeping skyline was bathed in romantic golden hues. The spacious outdoor terrace is not only ideal for dramatic city views, but is also the perfect place to enjoy the evening, lounging on plush sofa seats while sipping on refreshing cocktails. Brimming with lush plants and twinkly lights, the bar features a cosy indoor seating area as well, where live music by former contestant of The Voice Thailand, Khun Suay takes centre stage every Friday and Sunday, while an in-house DJ spins upbeat tracks every Saturday.
Food and Drink
The menu features internationally-inspired bar snacks with Asian influences, served in generous portions. The meal began with Chilli hummus and pita bread (B220). With a spicy twist on the classic Lebanese starter, this fiery dip pairs wonderfully with crusty pita bread. A nutritious and filling appetiser, that is also delicious!
Next was an ultimate crowd-favourite – Guacamole, salsa with corn chips (B350). This finger-licking nibble gets its own spoonful of toppings, as the crispy corn chips are served alongside piles of thick and creamy guacamole and fresh salsa dip. If you favour local delicacies, opt for Fried chicken with lime mayonnaise (B360) instead, as this no-fuss comfort dish contains a juicy texture and a crunchy crust that is deliciously complemented by the slightly sour mayonnaise. Lastly, I enjoyed Assorted bruschetta (B390) with juicy confit tomatoes and creamy mushrooms on sour dough. This was simply summer on toast!
With an extensive selection of beverages, the bar’s cocktail menu offers unique twists on classics. One of their signature concoctions is named after the bar itself. Comprising of Koi Vodka, Bianco Vermouth, caramel and passion fruit, Passion in the AIRE (B280) is both tart and sweet with a tropical flair. Another must-try is North Star (B280), which comprises of plantation rums, pineapple, lime, soda, vanilla and pomegranate syrup, as well as aromatic bitters with lime juice.
Carefully crafted for men, the Suffering Bastard (B280) is a sophisticated blend of Grandma Jinn, Rebel Yell bourbon, ginger beer, lime and aromatic bitters. Served in a classy Moscow Mule mug, the bitters lend a crisp and luscious twist to the otherwise smooth drink.
If you prefer a stronger concoction, try Sazzle (B280). Curated from raspberry, lime, soda and kaffir lime leaf with a good measure of Broker’s Gin to complement the JJ Whitley Vodka, this cocktail’s herbal flavours go well with its accompanying fresh ingredients. Meanwhile, Rye on Thyme (B280) is a sleek combo of Rebel Yell Rye, Bianco Vermouth, grapefruit, honey and orange bitters, garnished with a sprig of thyme. It’s a rich drink, with a punch of rye spice and a lush, sour finish that brings the vermouth’s taste to life.
