Swing for the green at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park’s latest adult playground: Teeshot Bar.

Par-tee time!

For me, the highlight of a night out has always been the bar games. Pool, shuffleboard, darts—throw in some friendly competition, a bit of social lubricant, and you’re guaranteed a good time. But what if these games weren’t just a side attraction? What if they took centre stage? Now, imagine pairing that with gourmet bar bites, a private karaoke room, and state-of-the-art simulated sports like golf, football, and VR tennis. That’s exactly what Teeshot Bar offers—an adult playground on the M Floor of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, where the games aren’t just part of the night – they are the night.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The ambiance at Teeshot Bar strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and entertainment. Warm, recessed lighting enhances the sleek design, casting a golden glow across the space. At the heart of it lies the stunning island bar, finished in polished gold metallic tones and surrounded by plush, white-upholstered stools – an ideal perch for sipping handcrafted cocktails like the rum and Malibu-based The Thaiger (THB 425) or the refreshing strawberry and lime Pro swing (THB 155) mocktail. Glossy black marble floors, statement décor pieces like chess sets, and airy glass partitions add a touch of personality.
Beyond the bar, the real fun begins. Each of Teeshot’s four bays is equipped with cutting-edge Bravo Golf Simulators from South Korea, boasting high-speed cameras capturing 1,000 frames per second. With over 100 preloaded courses worldwide, players of all levels can test their skills and receive precise feedback on every swing.

For our tee-off, I selected a course named Black Stone in Florida – a cheeky nod to my American friend, Ethan. Our setup was complete with a full range of clubs, ensuring every shot was covered. While my initial strokes were abysmal, Ethan and our caddy quickly improved my technique, offering tips like how to position my feet relative to the ball and which muscles to engage. The versatility of the bays was another highlight – Bay 3 easily transitioned from a driving range to a football simulator, letting us switch sports seamlessly and keep the excitement going.

But the real surprise? Teeshot’s private karaoke room. We may have come for the golf, but we stayed for the tunes – because honestly, this is where the fun kicks up a notch. The room is equipped with an iPad featuring thousands of songs in English, Korean, and Thai, spanning classic bands like ABBA to new superstars like Sabrina Carpenter. The setup screams luxury: top-notch JBL speakers ll the room with crystal-clear sound, and high-quality mics make you feel like you’re laying down tracks in the studio. Add to that the plush seating and cozy lighting, and it’s clear you won’t find karaoke like this anywhere else.

FOOD AND DRINK

Following a round of golf and a penalty shootout, Ethan and I were ravenous. Most bars stick to greasy staples, but Teeshot elevates its menu. The Mini wagyu burger sliders (THB 440) were bite-sized marvels with buttery brioche buns, juicy patties, and a kabayaki glaze that added a sweet, umami- rich touch. Crisp iceberg lettuce and smooth mayonnaise completed the sliders, delivering balance in every bite. We paired these with Loaded fries (THB 230), a comforting dish of crispy, golden fries drizzled with satay sauce and topped with chopped onions. The combination of sweetness and crunch added a satisfying twist to a classic bar snack.

For mains, the Pizza Frutti di mare (THB 540) delivered a seafood lover’s dream. Prawns, mussels, crab, and squid were piled generously on a zesty tomato base, with melted parmesan adding a creamy finish. Though I don’t usually lean towards seafood pizzas, this one hit the mark with its balanced flavours and fresh toppings. The Tagliatelle bolognese (THB 450) was equally satisfying, featuring slow-braised beef ragu in a rich tomato sauce, tossed with al dente tagliatelle. Topped with parmesan and chopped parsley, it was a heartwarming dish that evoked the comforts of home cooking.

The true showstopper, however, was the 300g Australian ribeye steak and fries (THB 1,690). Expertly seared to medium-rare perfection, the steak boasted a smoky char on the outside with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. The bold black pepper sauce provided the perfect complement, while broccolini, roasted garlic, and vine-ripened cherry tomatoes added balance and depth to this indulgent dish.

Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, dessert arrived, and our second stomachs were ready. The Tiramisu (THB 240) was a creamy dream, perfectly layered with mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers. Each bite offered a delicate sweetness that melted in the mouth, with a dusting of cocoa providing a slightly bitter finish. The New York cheesecake (THB 260) was another standout: a velvety slice topped with tangy berry compote, crushed pistachios, and a dollop of Chantilly cream. Finally, the Mango sticky rice (THB 300) was a fitting end to the feast. Sweet coconut cream enhanced the fragrant sticky rice, while the perfectly ripe mango slices provided natural, refreshing sweetness.

MASALA RECOMMENDS

Tom yum fried chicken wings (THB 320): Bold and addictive, these wings feature a tangy, spicy tom yum glaze topped with fried shallots and dried chillies. If you try just one thing here, make it this.
