In the mood to Net-Flicks and chill? Here’s what to watch this November

VIJAY 69 (NETFLIX)

Veteran and legendary actor Anupam Kher stars in the titular role about an inspiring story revolving around a 69-year-old man who aims to shatter societal expectations by training for a triathlon. Directed by Akshay Roy, and a collaboration between Netflix and Yash Raj Films, thefilm portrays the essence of the “better late than never” attitude with plenty of hum and emotionally driven exploration of relationships throughout life’s various challenges. In the words of Anupam himself, this film is, “a testament to passion, perseverance, and the unshakable human spirit.”

Release Date: 8 November

CITADEL: HONEY BUNNY (AMAZON PRIME VIDEO)

The Citadel universe expands into India as Varun Dawan (Bunny) and Samantha Ruth Prabhu (Honey) partake in their own spy thriller, continuing to showcase intense acacti gripping performances, and a heightened visual scale, with a love story twist. Citadel: Honey Bunny rewinds its immersive narratitive to the 90s, exploring the origins of the internanatiol clandestitine spy agency, from its foundation to the rise of operatitions. This Amazon Prime Video India original, following the original Citadel (2023- ), starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, and Italy’s Citadel: Diana (2024- ); will surely deliver both suspense and overall entertainment value.

BAD SISTERS SEASON 2 (APPLE TV+)

The Garvey sisters are back in this acclaimed Apple TV+ original for season 2. Led by one of the show creators Sharon Horgan (Eva Garvey), the ensemble cast carries on their misfortunes from the previous season as a family ‘tragedy’ becomes increasingly difficult to navigate. The collect traumas of the past continue to haunt the sisters two years after the unfortunate incident tossed back into the spotlight as suspicions are at an all-time high and certain truths resurface. With a 100 percent ratation Rotten Tomato, the BAFTA-winning series aims to bolster its past success and retain the attention of its audience through its brilliant storytelling.

BEATLES ’64 (DISNEY+ HOTSTAR)

Legendary Academy Award-winningfilmaker, Martin Scorsese, and Emmy-nominated editor, David Tedeschi, come together to showcase an intimate film with rare, behind-the-scenes, restored 4K footage of The Beatle’s musical breakthrough and unimaginable fame. Alongside existing historical content, there are newly-film and archival interviews spliced into this new documentary, including of die-hard fans whose lives have been transformed, and pundits who talk about the impact the band has left on pop culture as a whole. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr also make an appearance in new interviews as the two surviving members of the band.
