NEW CULINARY SCHOOL

ALMA Culinary Institute, TSUJI Culinary Institute, and Dusit Thani College come together to bring a one-of-a-kind culinary school, offering certificate courses for all levels. The Food School Bangkok opened its doors in October and provides a comprehensive and competency-based learning program for Thai, Italian and Japanese cuisines. To tackle growing concerns about the environmental impact of the food industry, the course integrates sustainable concepts into its practices, and also aims to promote local agriculture.

NEW RESTAURANT

UK-established San Carlo Group introduced a contemporary Italian restaurant in the heart of Bangkok, located at Gaysorn Village. Isola by Signor Sassi is decorated with bright yellow lemons hanging from the ceilings, to pay homage to its Sicilian roots. As you’re whisked away to Italy, sample their wide-ranging selection of pastas, meat-based dishes, and fresh seafood. They’ve also got seasonal menus, such as their current one featuring white Alba truffles from Piedmont, Italy.

NEW MALL AND 24-HOUR CANTEEN

Recently-opened Silom Edge is a self-described ‘sandbox community’ and mall at the heart of Bangkok’s business district, and is a mixed-use project comprising offices, restaurants, floors dedicated to wellness, the best in lifestyle gadgets and shopping, and, for the late-night snackers, a 24-hour food hub on the ground and basement floor. The zone is ready to welcome hungry customers at all hours with exciting offerings, such as Pacamara Cafe, Je Jong Fried Pork, A Ramen, and more. The building itself is connected to the MRT and BTS lines, making it very accessible.

NEW VEGAN CAFE

Sukhumvit Soi 26 welcomes Eat.Co Bangkok, the second branch of the beloved Koh Phangan-based vegan restaurant, a favourite within the island’s vegan community for their fresh ingredients and delicious flavours. Bangkokians can now feast on their food without having to make the journey down South, with a delicious menu spanning smoothie bowls, burgers, salads, and even sharing platters perfect for big groups.
